shopping
yesterday me, my stepdaughter and my son's girlfriend went shopping to get school clothes for my stepdaughter. we went thrift store shopping, and clearance sale shopping. We had breakfast and lunch out, and I only spent 152.oo for the whole thing. That included a shirt and 3 books for me, a shirt and a book for my son, 2pair of jeans, 5pr panties, one shirt for my son's girlfriend, and.......two pair jeans, one pair dress slacks, 5pr panties, 2 pack of socks, a bra, and ten shirts for my stepdaughter. It was fun! Then we went grocery shopping, and came home and cleaned the house and did laundry. I even got to pamper myself w/ a bath and shower. Needless to say I didn't get to bed until 1am but I got up at 11. Another work day, man oh man!!!

I don't know why this never showed up in my subscription list... Hmmm...
Great job shopping!!! I'm guessing you didn't go to Goodwill. I went in there last week and was absolutely shocked to see that you could go to frigging MACY'S and get stuff for less money. And everything there is DONATED!!! I was so disgusted I have instantly boycotted them. I'm sticking with Thrift for Life, a great little shop that has actual thrift store prices.
Miss you, sis.
I agree, I quit shopping at Goodwill a couple of years ago for the same reason. And because a friend of mine worked there and told me that when the trucks come in on wednesday the employee's get first dibs on what they want for free and the rest goes out on the floor. What ever happened to volunteer work like how Hospice Thrift Store is run? And we did go to hospice, shepard's light house and another one, all their proceeds go to good causes.
Well now that pisses me even more, because most of the "employees" are people doing community service. Why are they more worthy of the charities than some poor family who has just lost everything???
They had a wedding dress in there the other day with a $700 price tag on it. Unfuckingreal.
Remember those big mixing bowls Gran had? They had an incomplete set of them, for $35. Sick, I'm telling you.
